Bespoke furniture for restaurant
Belgian beech (Fagus sylvatica)
2026
Le Chalet de la Forêt stands at the edge of the Forêt de Soignes, and its dining rooms are now furnished with wood from the same trees. For the rooms designed by François Marcq, Sonian made the whole ensemble: armchairs whose backs are steam-bent from thin layers of beech, armchairs dressed in leather, and square and round tables.
The armchair was prototyped in the atelier, where the architects refined its line by hand, softening the arms and deepening the curve of the back until it held the body like a quiet embrace. A deep, warm tone settles the beech into the panelled rooms, as if it had always belonged there.
