Bespoke dining table
2025
This one-of-a-kind table was designed by Central – Office for Architecture and Urbanism and crafted in Sonian beech. The piece combines bold form with a warm, grounded presence, blurring the line between sculpture and furniture.
The table’s solid beech blocks serve as weighty feet, while the top preserves the tree’s natural edge, reflecting its forest origins. The boards are joined in a mirror match, creating a symmetrical grain pattern that highlights the material’s beauty.
This project embodies a close collaboration between designers, makers, and the Sonian Forest itself, celebrating the transformation of responsibly sourced wood into a functional and poetic object.
