Our high-end carpentry atelier is situated in the heart of Brussels. We create objects with unique hardwood that we harvest sustainably from the Sonian Forest, a UNESCO World heritage site. Here you can explore some of the shapes, joinery and artistic interventions we apply in our work. Bespoke projects can be finished in a palette of different colors and combined with other complementary materials.

HERITAGE HARDWOOD
BELGIAN BEECH
The dominant species in the Sonian Forest, our beech (Fagus Sylvatica) features beautiful copper-colored variations thanks to their red heart. This hardwood is perfectly suited for all indoor applications and compatible for direct contact with food.
TORREFIED BELGIAN ASH
The torrefication of ash wood (Fraxinus Excelsior) from the Sonian Forest renders this local hardwood extremely durable to prolonged outdoor use.

Elements that showcase the natural shape of the tree.
FREE FORMS
Any shape is possible thanks to the use of computer numerical controls (CNC).
STRAIGHT EDGE
Traditional cut made with a circular saw.
JOINERY
PASS-THROUGH DOWELS
A round piece of hardwood passing through the elements that are held together.
DOVETAILS
Traditional joint in the form of a bird’s tail.
TENONS
A wood technique to join and stabilize multiples pieces of hardwood, but it’s invisible.

CARVING
Textured surface created with a rounded handtool.
TURNING
Round objects created by spinning a piece of wood at high velocity on a lathe.
FINISH & COLORS ON BEECH
Natural oil nourishment and protection for the finished pieces, in a curated selection of colors. All finishing products made in Belgium, with 0% volatile eorganic components.

RAMMED EARTH
Excavated earth from building sites in and around Brussels.
MYCELIUM
A mushroom-based material grown by digesting beech wood. This mycomaterial is produced with wood waste from our workshop and the mushroom species that occurs naturally in the Sonian Forest (Ganoderma).
RECYCLED PLASTIC
Made in brussels in a family based worskop, from only food-grade recycled plastics.
WOOL
Bio-based and sustainable, adding a soft touch through collaborations with textile artists.
PRECIOUS METALS
Copper and brass, because they are pure and noble.
